About the Role

Job Title:
Self-Employed Strength & Conditioning Coach – XLFC Weight-Loss Football [Outside IR35]

Location:
Park House School, Newbury, Berkshire.

Role Overview:
We’re looking for a motivational, reliable, and knowledgeable Strength & Conditioning Coach to run weekly S&C sessions for our members. These sessions are designed to complement football training by building foundational strength, improving mobility, preventing injury, and boosting overall fitness.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver weekly group-based S&C sessions tailored for overweight/returning-to-fitness individuals
• Incorporate progressive, safe, and scaleable exercises suitable for all fitness levels
• Collaborate with XLFC coaches to align sessions with football goals and member progress
• Motivate, educate, and support members in a friendly, non-intimidating manner
• Monitor attendance, engagement, and progression over time
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and safety

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (minimum)
• Experience working with weight-loss or general population clients
• Group training experience (boot-camps, circuits, etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, supportive attitude with an inclusive coaching style
• First Aid certification and valid insurance
• Introduction to Football (Formerly FA Coaching Level 1 - Desirable but not essential)

Additional Details:
• Self-employed role: You will invoice XLFC monthly or as agreed
• Frequency: 1x weekday evening per week (with potential to increase based on new locations opening)
• Sessions run weekly – typically one evening per week plus odd days at weekends where football coaching is taken on. Currently Friday Evenings from 6:30pm - 7:30pm therefore please do not apply unless you can commit to this day/time on a long term basis.

Rate: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience
