Reading XL FC Needs You ...

To help design their BRAND NEW 2024-2026 Away Strip!

Now we've confirmed an exclusive front of shirt partnership with myTribe Health, we'd like to harness the creative talents of our network by inviting participants to design the First EVER Official Away kit for Reading XL FC!

This initiative not only showcases local creativity but also strengthens our partnership with myTribe Health and Appin Sports, emphasizing our commitment to community involvement and wellness.

Ultimately, we believe that involving our community is a great way to enhance our connection to it, whilst embodying the spirit of XLFC and creating a lasting connection between the club and its local supporters.

How does it work?

Competition Rules ...

The "Great Kit Design Off" is open to anyone, any age, any where! So get designing by visiting the Appin Sports Kit Designer (via the "Design Here" button below) then come back and keep scrolling to submit your creations via the form below, ensuring to add your contact details so we can get hold of you if you win!

You don't have to limit yourself to one design either, whether it's a player or a goalie kit, you can have as many tries as you like! For the goalie kit, remember to design the shorts too!

(Polite warning - designing kits is really addictive, so we apologise for the hours you'll spend doing this!)

The Prize ...

The winning entry will have their design created as the first ever Official Reading XL FC Away Strip, to be worn at all away games until 2026! Plus, as an added bonus, you'll get your own shirt made up with your name on the back as a thank you for your time and creative genius!

Additional Prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the judges. Entries that do not comply with the competition terms and conditions or are deemed inappropriate will be disqualified.

The organisers are not liable for any technical failures or issues that may impede entry submissions. Organisers reserve the right to amend these terms and condition or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice.

Timelines for the "GKDO" ...

The competition is open now and will run until 8pm on Friday 15th November 2024.

Any entries received after this time will not be accepted. Entrants must use the Appin Sports Kit Designer tool which can be found via the button below.

Final submissions should include a description of the design and any relevant features / colours etc. in order to assist with the creation of the winning concept before manufacturing.

Judging Criteria ...

Entries will be judged based on creativity and visual appeal. Please don't worry about logo or badge placement, as we'll look at that in detail (with you) when the winning design has been chosen.
A panel of judges from the Reading XL FC Club Committee and myTribe Health will evaluate all entries and decide on the eventual winner.

The winning designer will retain the copyright to their original design; however, by entering the competition, they grant Reading XL FC, myTribe Health, and Appin Sports a royalty-free, perpetual license to use, modify, and distribute the design for promotional and commercial purposes. This ensures that the design can be produced and utilized by the club while recognizing the designer’s creative contribution.
