" I’m excited to take on this role with Reading XL FC, as I have benefitted massively from the programme over the last 18 months! I'm thankful to have been offered a role with the club where I can help others feel the same way. My playing days will be limited as older age is chasing me, and it’ll soon catch up, so this will help me stay involved when the body gives up.
On the future growth of Reading XL FC and his desire to help further establish the club in the wider community, Stewart went on to say:
"We already have a big group of lads (or a group of big lads – I’m sure they’re OK with me saying that!) and we want to grow those numbers and expand into different post codes. I'm thrilled to be part of that, and in this role I can work with the committee to make it happen and encourage more guys to put their fitness first through football. I hope bring some further structure and organisational thinking to the team. I’m chomping at the bit and excited for what is ahead of us.
